The Monkey is dressed in golden jewelry
with a crown of gold and gems,
and she loves to play.

Always mischivous, but also
unutterably wise,
the Monkey is capable
of solving any problem,
and of persuing
any curiousity.

Shame, then,
that it is trapped in that rust-iron cage,
like that.

If only the Monkey were not so
easily distracted by colorful things,
like all the fruit in the cage,
she might notice
that the door is not
locked
at all.
